Senior Director

Prior to founding MDS, Jim spent 8 years at Boeing Commercial Airplanes with five of those years as the thermoplastic materials and processes engineer on the 777 design team.  After leaving Boeing, Jim spent two and a half years as the Engineering Manager of K2 inline skates in Pusan, S. Korea. During his time abroad, he was responsible for setting up K2's inline skate factory in Tianjin, China and developing quality engineering documentation systems for their overseas production lines.  Upon returning to the US, he spent 2 years in K2's inline skate product and production development office in Seattle, Washington.  Through his past education and experiences, Jim has developed a thorough knowledge of injection molding and other production processes and is an expert in quality management.  Since founding MDS, Jim has worked with customers such as K2, Polar Fusion, Yaktrax Inc., and Boomba, LLC providing product and production development services.  Jim has a BT degree in Manufacturing Engineering Technology from Rochester Institute of Technology (1987).
